This campaign is close to my heart as about the only consistent bit of routine we stuck to bringing up our three kids was 'bath book bed'. And just this morning, my 17-year-old son told me how much he loved it when his dad (and me, I had to remind him...) read to him (and his older brother) when they were little. He also remembers moving on to longer non-picture books, which they read together as they got older, Greeks myths and the like...
Then he said, 'I wanna make sure I do the same with my kids...I wanna make sure they grow up surrounded by books an' art an' shit.'
Finally, I thought, I've got something right in this parenting malarky...
